Dr Andreas Demetriou received his degree in Medicine from the University of Athens
in June 1971.

From that time until 1978 he worked and trained in various hospitals in the UK.

Tameside General Hospital, Manchester, North Manchester General Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool, and finally Warrington General Hospital.

He returned to Cyprus in 1978 and worked at Pafos General Hospital for 3 years.

From 1981 he has been working in the private sector. He and his colleagues established St. George’s Private Hospital in 1992. Since then he is a member of the Executive Board of the hospital and one of its key personnel in terms of managing its medical resources.  He is active in general medicine with  a particular specialist interest in cardiology. He also has an interest in rheumatological diseases.
